  • Today's featured work is "In The Attic" by George Bowles (alkyd $600). George is known for his beautiful realistic works. He says of his work: "An Iowa native, I have been painting at least since 1958. After an academic career, I went in 1996 to the Bougie Studio in Minneapolis to get a rigorous four-year art education modeled on the French ateliers of the 19th century. I now work in alkyd, a medium which is similar to, and compatible with oil, but which dries faster and yellows less. I aspire to create well-composed and, when possible, beautiful paintings."
