Deborah Taylor is a contemporary impressionist oil painter whose favorite studio is the great outdoors. She specializes in plein air landscape painting as well as still lifes painted from set ups in her home studio.
“My goal is to say what I want to say in a painting with as few strokes of the brush as possible. This encourages me to focus intently on a subject while at the same time looking at the big picture; lights and darks, shadows and color temperatures. I am inspired by many things, a flower, sun on an old pick up truck, bright red bell peppers or hills on a foggy day.”
Deborah is a member and former board member of both the Art League and the Arlington Artists Alliance. Her work can be seen at several venues throughout the region, in private collections and at http://www.dtaylorstudio.com/
Deborah is also a daily painter and posts her artwork on her blog at http://www.dtaylorstudio.blogspot.com/
