“Art has opened a new world for me – a new way of seeing, thinking, and communicating. It allows me to appreciate the beauty in ordinary things, be creative, and speak through my work.
Handcrafted and artistically designed, each piece of my fine silver jewelry tells its own story through line, pattern, shape and texture. I use these and other design elements to create unique, wearable works of art. I use sculptural techniques with precious metal clay and a variety of high quality chain and beads to create distinct ready-made pieces, but also specialize in working with clients to design custom pieces reflecting their personality and style.”
About the Artist
Diane Felice is a local jewelry designer and stay-at-home mom. While taking time off from teaching studio art to stay home with her children, she found a passion for designing handmade, fine silver jewelry – it allows her to be an active artist while balancing the demands and rewards of motherhood. Her studio is in her home in Arlington, Virginia, where she lives with her husband and two sons.
Diane received her BS in Design and Marketing from Drexel University in 1996. She earned her Masters in Secondary Art Education from George Washington University in 2001 and worked as a high school studio art teacher in Fairfax County until 2006. Diane has since completed several ceramics and jewelry-making courses. Most recently, she has taken classes through The Art League in Alexandria, Virginia, and has exhibited her work throughout the DC Metro area.
