Focus Gallery: “Horses of a Different Color” Show

Arlington, VA – During November, Gallery Underground features the colorful imagery of Meg Mackenzie whose artwork is based on a deep love of horses. Mackenzie is an abstract painter whose award-winning work has become a popular favorite in the DC-metro area.
The artist says “For the last few years, I have dedicated my artwork towards celebrating the majestic power and beauty of the horse,” and describes her favored subject as “bold, muscular, elegant dancers, so sensitive and aware in their environment as well as both wild and gentle.”
In addition to a new all-media Members Show in the Main Gallery, also featured are the witty sculptures of Trinka Roeckelein and eye-catching jewelry of Kat Jamieson.

Located in the Crystal City Shops at 2100 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA 22202, this visual arts venue showcases the work of established and emerging regional artists. It is sponsored by the Arlington Artists Alliance (AAA), in partnership with the Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID), and Vornado/Charles E. Smith.
Gallery Hours: M-F 10am – 6pm, Saturday 10am – 2pm. Metro accessible. Parking is available in metered spots on nearby streets and in public garages, which are free all day Saturdays and after4pm on weekdays.
