Marsha grew up outside Detroit Michigan and moved to VA in 1980. Marsha earned a BFA from the University of Michigan and attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Most of Marsha’s adult career has been in business and advertising. However Marsha has always painted and she now has her own studio in Alexandria, VA and devotes most of her energy to producing art. She shows her work mostly in the Virginia area and in Washington DC.
Marsha is both a painter and a sculptor. She works in several traditional mediums such as watercolor, oil, clay and bronze and is especially adept with movement, gesture, whimsy and portraiture.
Marsha’s work is loose and free and a personal expression of people, places, animals, and landscapes. The best description might be expressionistic or impressionistic and occasionally abstract.
Marsha is married with one daughter.
Marsha would love to hear from you. Please feel free to email or call. Thank you!
