Wen LePore has been interested in art since she was a child. Both her parents were artists – her dad was a musician and her mom an actress. She received formal artistic training from her father in music. She studied mathematics in college and became a math teacher for years, but her dream was to be a painter.
In 2008, she had a chance to start her formal painting education at Northern Virginia Community College. Subsequently, Sam Houston State University professor Dr. Enrique Mallen helped her to begin research of Pablo Picasso through his Online Picasso Project. Since May 2011 she has been working with George Bowles, studying his work habits, learning how better to create a fine art piece.
